Questions Users Ask Most Frequently

Because XEBT is not a bank, we do not take deposits or lend your funds out. Instead, your fiat balances are held in segregated client safeguarding accounts at regulated partner institutions. Digital assets are maintained in audited, 1:1 asset-backed vaults. If anything happens to XEBT, your funds remain segregated and returnable to you.
We enforce hardware-grade FIDO2 / WebAuthn biometric authentication, mandatory multi-factor authorization for withdrawals, and real-time behavioral anomaly detection that automatically holds suspicious activity.
Domestic clearing rails and digital asset settlement bridges operate with immediate cryptographic finality. While settlements cannot be arbitrarily reversed, our 24/7 compliance desk maintains automated fraud-detection rules to intercept unauthorized requests prior to dispatch.
Under Electronic Money Institution (EMI) safeguarding regulations, client funds are legally segregated from XEBT's corporate balance sheet. In the event of insolvency, client balances are ring-fenced and returned to account holders prior to any general creditor claims.

Why We Might Say No to an Account Application

To maintain the security of our regulated network, XEBT enforces strict compliance criteria. Here are the clear reasons an account application may be declined or restricted:

Jurisdictional Restrictions

Residence or incorporation in comprehensive sanctions territories

We cannot onboard individuals or entities resident in FATF-blacklisted or comprehensively sanctioned regions.

Identity Verification Failure

Unverifiable documentation or identity mismatch

Applications are declined if government identity documents cannot be cryptographically verified or if facial biometric liveness checks fail.

Prohibited Business Categories

Activities in high-risk unlicenced sectors

We do not support unlicenced gambling, non-registered money transmission services, weapons manufacture, or speculative token schemes.

Adverse Regulatory Screening

Confirmed hits on international PEP or enforcement watchlists

Regulatory compliance mandates immediate restriction if an applicant is subject to active law enforcement sanctions or criminal forfeiture notices.
